Abstract

Video games and toys promote learning as well as entertainment. The ongoing projects at the MIT Media Laboratory that aims to uncover an improved way to play and learn are presented. The Toys of Tomorrow consortium at the MIT Media Laboratory is researching children's play and learning. The increasingly profitable and influential game and entertainment industry, and how the results affect and enhance the learning process are discussed.
