Polymer waveguide with 4-channel circular GI cores toward high-speed optical interconnects

Abstract

We fabricate polymer waveguides with 4-channel circular graded-index cores for the first time by the preform method. The new waveguide exhibits very low-loss (0.029dB/cm), high bandwidth (estimated 60Gbps for 1m) and low inter-channel crosstalk.
