Abstract

We produced the unsymmetrical particles by depositing the polymer layer onto one hemisphere. At first, symmetrical reactive particles were synthesized by the precipitation polymerization and their solution and they were arranged into a monolayer using an L-B method. Alkyl chains were introduced to polyallylamine(PAA), and the polymers were dissolved in ethanol to spread them on a water surface and they were compressed them by L-B apparatus to obtain thin film. The obtained polymer film was transferred onto the surface of the particle monolayer. Morphological observations demonstrated that one hemisphere was covered with the polymer layer.
