Abstract

Coadsorption of saturated hydrocarbons and CO has been investigated by temperature-programmed desorption (TPD). Coadsorbed CO promotes the decomposition of low reactive hydrocarbons during TPD. The coverage and decomposition fraction (ratio of decomposed molecules to adsorbed ones) are determined from TPD by using the effect of coadsorbed CO.
