Abstract
The technical core of computer visualization lies in the selection of proper mapping schemes that fully represent a given dataset in a graphical form. Software support for selecting the best mapping schemes allows the users to explore large-scale and complex datasets from the first personal point of view. This article describes how this issue is addressed by our cooperative visualization environments.
