N2 - We show that the reflection noises in multimode fiber links can be significantly reduced by using graded-index plastic optical fiber with microscopic heterogeneous core. It is suggested that the intrinsic mode coupling due to the microscopic heterogeneities can result in the noise reduction without optical isolator and fiber end-face polishing.
