Abstract
This chapter introduces a spatial econometric model application to a downscaling of global socioeconometric scenarios. Section 10.1 provides a brief review of relevant literature. Section 10.2 describes our downscale approach and Section 10.3 employs it to estimate populations and GDPs by 0.5-degree grids. Finally, Section 10.4 concludes our discussion.
