Abstract

The absolute stereostructure of ptaquiloside (1), a novel norsesquiterpene glucoside isolated from bracken, Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum has been elucidated by the 1H NMR spectral method and an X-ray crystallographic analysis of ptaquiloside tetraacetate (2).
