Sub-natural spectroscopy with recurrent excitation

Abstract

Sub-natural spectroscopy, which is based on the iterative excitation using the atomic response, is studied. The hyperfine signal of the excited state of the Rb D2 transition was observed. A significant reduction of the spectral width was recognized.
