Abstract

A water-soluble fullerene derivative (C60-dimalonic acid, C62(COOH)4) quenches superoxide radical (O2.-), in the xanthine/xanthine oxidase system, and oxidizes reduced cyt. c in the presence of hydrogen peroxide.
