Abstract

Poly (ester-urethane)s having a molecular weight of 80,000 were prepared by the lipase-catalyzed polymerization of monourethanediol and diurethanediol with diethyl adipate. Thermal and mechanical properties as well as hydrolytic stability and biodegradability were measured and compared with respect to the molecular structure.
