Abstract

Nanosized palladium cluster-catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura coupling polymerization of 1,1′-binaphthyldiyl-bearing diiodides with expanded π-conjugated aromatic diboronic acid pinacol diesters affords aromatic polyketones, which have blue-emitting fluorescent properties (λem 450–489 nm) in addition to high thermal stability (Tg 190–297 °C) and excellent solubility in common organic solvents such as DMSO and NMP.
