Tight lower bounds on capacity and cutoff rate of DOPPM in optical direct-detection channel

Abstract

An analysis is presented of the tighter lower bounds on capacity and cutoff rate of differential overlapping pulse position modulation (DOPPM) in optical direct-detection channel. Considering the pulsed chips to be detected to decode the words correctly, the transition probability of DOPPM words and the tighter lower bounds in optical direct-detection channel are derived.
