Time-domain observation of vacuum Rabi oscillations in a strongly coupled quantum dot-nanocavity system

Abstract

We report the time-domain observation of vacuum Rabi oscillations in a single quantum dot-photonic crystal nanocavity system under optical carrier injection. A significantly-improved cavity Q-factor facilitates the direct access to the ultrafast exciton-photon dynamics.
