Abstract

Transverse magnetophonon resonance in p-Tt was investigated at various temperatures from 49 to 77 K in high pulsed magnetic fields up to 35 T. The small magnetophonon oscillations superposed on the large monotonic magnetoresist-ance could be observed by subtracting the monotonic part of the magnetoresist-ance. When the magnetic field parallel to the c-axis and the current perpendicular to the c-axis were applied, a new magnetophonon peak was observed around 22 T in the relatively high temperature range above 67 K. From consideration of the polarization and energy of the phonon modes, it was concluded that the Eh optical mode is responsible for the new peak around 22 T.
