Use of ionic liquid for greener glycosidation

Abstract

We developed several environmentally benign and stereocontrolled glycosidations using reusable and designable ionic liquids as new reaction media. Several O- and C-glycosides were effectively obtained by theses glycosidation reactions. Therefore, the greener chemical glycosidations including the simple and convenient protocol, and the high chemical yield and stereoselectivity will be very useful for the establishment of Green Carbohydrate Chemistry as a majour branch of Green Chemistry.
