Variation of wall shear stress direction in aortic arch model

Abstract

The intermittent flow through a strongly curved tube modeling the aortic arch was numerically analyzed by solving the 3D-NS equations. Based on the resultant velocity fields, the strength and direction of wall shear stress were calculated.
