Versatile recognition using haar-like features for human sensing

    Abstract

    This chapter motivates our work toward a study on versatile recognition using Haar-like features for human sensing. Firstly, we discuss several potential target applications of our work and explain the signicance of context recognition. Then, we discuss on the characteristic constraints of a system comprising wireless sensor nodes. Furthermore, we mention the significance of smart sensing and introduce our approach. Based on these discussions and a literature survey, our work is outlined.
