Vibrational, single-particle-like, and diffusive dynamics in liquid Se, Te, and Te50Se50

Abstract

Neutron scattering measurements were carried out for liquid Se, Te, and Te50Se50. The observation of the formation of weak bonds in the metallic phase for liquid Te-Se mixture was presented. The bond-stretching mode was observed in the semiconducting phase and the modes were found obscured in the metallic phase.
