Abstract

Neutron scattering measurements were carried out for liquid Se, Te, and Te₅₀Se₅₀. The observation of the formation of weak bonds in the metallic phase for liquid Te-Se mixture was presented. The bond-stretching mode was observed in the semiconducting phase and the modes were found obscured in the metallic phase.
