Abstract

The design of a voice oriented data switch (VODS) is introduced. Using the latest LSI technology, VODS integrates both voice and data onto a single transmission bus. The motivations for the VODS design come from a need for a simple modular circuit switch to be used in the modular office system (MOS). The MOS is intended to bring together a set of personal and inter-personal computer based services, and a clean easy to use human interface the modular office system terminal (MOST).
