Wavefront compensation lens system in an arrayed-waveguide grating for hybrid integration of a phase encoding mirror

Abstract

We have introduced a lens system in a slab waveguide of an arrayed-waveguide grating (AWG) in order to obtain a flat output wavefront. A spatial phase modulator can easily be integrated on to the AWG.
