Web-based intuitive management of RMX

Abstract

The Rule-based e-Mail eXchange system, also known as RMX, is a mail transfer agent that transmits emails based on user-defined rules, which are applied to a relational database. It is a novel way of sending email to various groups of people. However, the creation of the RMX operating environment is not simple and is relatively costly. Furthermore, in order to use the system, users usually configurate the system using a command line interface. Consequently, RMX users cannot perform intuitive operations. In this study, we develop the web application to easily provide RMX as a platform to users. As a result, users can intuitively utilize RMX with considerably reduced cost in the operating environment.
