A new type of fluidic oscillator is developed in which oscillation is enhanced by electronic amplification means. Wall attachment of the jet is detected by hot wires on each side wall. The output signals are electronically amplified and fed back to control ports of the nozzle via a dynamic electro-magnetic transducer which converts electric signal to fluid flow pulses. The frequency of the fluidic oscillator depends on the fluid flowrate at the inlet nozzle. Then, it can be used as flowmeter generating pulse frequency output. By the use of electronic amplification the lower bound of the fluidic oscillation is extended to 2. 5 times compared with that of an ordinary pure fluidic oscillator type flowmeter. The relationship between Strouhal number and electronic and fluid dynamic parameters are examined and clarified. As a result of this study, a feasibility and limit of flow measurement for extremely low flow rate are clarified.
