Aerodynamic forces computation from high-speed video image of ski jumping flight was attempted, of which video image was taken at Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium in Japan. Initial 40 m part of a flight of 120 m jumping after take-off was recorded by a fixed single highspeed video camera at a frame rate of 250 frames/s. The primary purpose of a series of research of us is to extract the aerodynamic force data during real jumping flights, in particular, in the initial phase of a flight for about 2 sec. These data were difficult to measure in the wind tunnel test because of some technical difficulties.
