When it comes to the social aspects of businesses, which include the social responsibilities of commercial firms and how businesses are expected to satisfy multiple stakeholders in society, the framework of corporate social responsibility by Carroll (1979) and the stakeholder view of corporate strategies (Freeman, 1984) are two of the standardized views in the literature in the business strategy field.
