The interaction between continuous flame segments with the concave and the convex structure was experimentally studied. To ascertain the interaction, the continuous convex and concave curved flame were compared with the single convex curved flame, which were stabilized on the multiple slit burner, and the lean and rich propane-air mixtures were used. The burning intensity was changed at the convex or concave curved flame segment through flame stretch and preferential diffusion of heat and mass. The measurement of the temperature gradient for the continuous convex and concave curved flame was steeper than that for the single convex curved flame. The convex curved-flame segment in the lean propane-air mixture (Le > 1) was weakened and received the heat from the concave curved flame segment which was intensified. In the rich mixture (Le < 1), while, the burning intensity at the curved flame segment was varied conversely in contrast with the case of the lean mixture, so that the flame segment with the convex curvature released heat to that with the concave curvature. The thermal interaction between continuous flame segments with the concave curvature. As the burning intensity was changed by flame stretch and preferential diffusion of heat and mass at the continuous curved flame, the thermal interaction between continuous flame segments with the concave and the convex curvature existed.
