Purpose: To evaluate changes in retinal blood flow of posterior pole of the retina before and after hemodialysis. Methods: The Heidelberg Retina Flowmeter (HRF) was used to measure blood flow in the posterior pole of the retina in 3 eyes of 3 patients before and after hemodialysis. Each image was analyzed by the automatic full-field analysis program and flow was calculated for each measurement. We calculated the ratio of flow after hemodialysis to flow before hemodialysis. Results: The ratio of flow was 92% in case 1, 73% in case 2, and 71% in case 3. Conclusions: Blood flow in the posterior pole of the retina decreased after hemodialysis.
