Design and fabrication for low loss channel-shuffling polymer waveguides

抄録

In this paper, we present low-loss channel-shuffling multimode polymer optical waveguides achieved by forming graded-index (GI) square cores (24 channels × 24 channels) under a 125-um interchannel pitch. We utilize the imprint method for fabricating the GI square core polymer waveguides with ideally symmetric index profile. First, the channel-shuffling structure to exhibit low insertion loss is designed, and then following to the designed structure, we experimentally fabricate the shuffling waveguide.
