The objective of this research is to apply a feasibility study on deploying location-aware digital signage system and verification of the potential of service platform in GNSS/CN based OBU. GNSS/CN OBU for autonomous Electronic Fee Collection (EFC) can grasp high-precision location data and the probe vehicle information, and can highly be applicable for various services. To confirm the feasibility of location-aware digital signage in time in position and the potential for a service platform with OBU, we designed and implemented "CITIUS", Communication Infrastructure of Transport Information for Universal Service, as a prototype. We have conducted the real field experiment on the shuttle buses of the National University of Singapore. The result of this experiment shows the prototype is efficient enough for real deploys in various places and GNSS/CN based OBU has a high potential for the applicability on a wide variety of services due to detection of the valuable information.
