Fabrication of transplantable 3D-neuronal network

This paper describes a method to fabricate a transplantable three-dimensional (3D) neuronal network using the neu-rospheroid network (NSN) on a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microchamber array. We developed a technique, termed the "NSN-stamping method", to transfer the NSN onto other substrates without any chemical treatment. Using this method, we demonstrate that different NSNs were stacked and formed 3D neuronal tissue, and then 3D-NSN could be transferred onto the cortical tissue at a high transfer rate. This method would be an extremely effective tool for tissue buildup in neuronal tissue engineering and provides a simple approach to the transplantation of 3D neuronal network.
