Graphene-based inline pressure sensor integrated with elastic microfluidic tube

This paper describes a poly-dimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic tube integrated with graphene sheets for an inline flow pressure sensor. The PDMS tube was fabricated by molding and a graphene sheet was transferred on the surface of the PDMS tube. Pressure caused by fluid flow inside the tube was monitored by changes in the electric resistance of the transferred graphene. Our pressure sensor could be suitable for precise pressure measurement of small amount of fluid in microfluidic systems including organ-on-a-chip devices.
