In terms of thermal resistance, PMMA based graded index polymer optical fibers (GI POFs) are insufficient to satisfy requirements for vehicle networks. In addition, light source at 670 nm wavelength is not excellent thermal stability. Therefore, the use of light sources at 780 nm wavelength is expected to obtain excellent thermal stability. P (p-Cl St) has high glass transition temperature and is expected high heat-resistance material for GI POFs. In this study, P (p-Cl St) based GI POFs were fabricated and estimated.
