Numerical analysis of plasma spatial uniformity in negative ion sources by a fluid model

抄録

A plasma fluid model was developed to analyze the physical mechanism of the spatial nonuniformity of plasma profile in the extracted region. The E×B and diamagnetic drifts of electrons were shown to be cancelled. It was observed that the ion flow arose from the synergic effect of Lorentz force and the electric field force. The spatial nonuniformity of plasma profile in the extracted region was due to the ion flow.
