We artificiality generate a ripplon on the surface of a liquid droplet adhered to the tip of an optical fiber by using laser light, and detect it by Michelson interferometry. By this method, we observe the vibrations of the liquid droplet surface as a function of time and separately detect the real and imaginary parts of the susceptibility.
