Preparation and lithium insertion behaviour of LiyNa1.2-yV3O8

抄録

The layered compounds, LiyNa1.2-yV3O8, have been obtained by the ion exchange reaction of Na1.2V3O8 in the molten nitrates containing Li+ and Na+ ions with various ratios. Electrochemical measurements showed only two steps of the lithium insertion process of these vanadates and increase in the discharge capacity for y = 0.21. The third step, with the phase transition, has been found to be a characteristic of Li1.2V3O8.
