Reflection Phenomena of oblique detonation wave around hypersonic spherical projectiles on plane plate

A detonable mixture was ignited by hypersonic spherical projectiles whose velocities we Self-propagated detonation wave has important relationship for reflection by wall surface which causes the fatal difference of pressure and temperature. In this study, we figured out experimentally the influence by curvature of oblique detonation waves (ODWs) around hypersonic spherical projectiles. And we compared to require the boundary condition on flow region by the measurement of incident detonataion wave angle for two reflection model of normal reflection and mach reflection. A detonable mixture (2C2H2+5O2+7Ar) was ignited by hypersonic spherical projectiles whose velocities were about 1.2 times of Chapman-Jouget (C-J) velocity. Using Schlieren imaging system and high speed video camera, we directly visualized detailed time history (1 μs intervals) about the reflection model of ODW.So , we revealed the curvature influence for the reflection.
