A 72 year-old man with urothelial carcinoma of the bladder (G3, pT2), which had been treated by total cystectomy 15 months before, presented with vertigo and appetite loss. According to clinical and radiological finding, a solitary brain metastasis from urothelial carcinoma of the bladder was pointed out. The brain metastasis was treated by open surgery and subsequent gamma knife radio surgery, and he has been free from recurrence for 15 months. Solitary brain metastasis from urothelial carcinoma is quite rare, and this seems to be the 5th case report in Japan. A review of the iterature was discussed.
