A remedy-oriented system for analyzing and evaluating human-related incidents that occur in nuclear power plants is described. The system, which incorporates innovative schemes such as the modified fault tree method, is capable of identifying causal factors and deriving proposals for specific hierarchical countermeasures. It is also provided with a database that stores the results of the analysis for future activities aimed at promoting plant operation safety.
