An appropriate signal processing has been designed basically for two beam fringe mode laser Doppler anemometry system to measure both velocities dispersed and continuous phases in two phase flow. The signal processor consisted of a peak detecting circuit of pulse signals of scattered light intensity from particles and a comparing circuit of peak heights, so that the Doppler signals were discriminatively obtained for fine tracer particles and coarse spherical particles. Application to suspension flow involving transparent spherical particles of about 10 - 100 MUm confirmed the velocity measurements of dispersed phase and continuous phase. The measured velocity distribution of fine tracer particles provided the turbulence intensity of continuous phase in two-phase flow. (A)
